Answers to Vendor Questions
DRS received the following questions from vendors:
-
For this security engagement, some of the tasks must be done on-site, some are better done remotely and others can be done equally well either way. Does the State of Washington have a specific requirement or expectation for how much of this project must be done on-site?
DRS does not have a specific expectation for how much work will be completed on-site. However, DRS will not grant remote access to the successful vendor in order to complete this project.
-
How detailed must the action plans for completion and implementation of a component be? This is in reference to the following paragraph on the statement of work: "The deliverable for each program component will be a draft document (or documents) of the component (e.g. draft security policies or security incident response plan), an action plan for completion and implementation of the component, and a management presentation of the phase results. Technical editing of documents may be provided by vendor."
The draft component plans should be detailed enough so that DRS could begin the process. At minimum, they should be an outline of proposed actions. The final version should contain the detailed action plan that has been refined based upon input from us on our experience initiating the draft plans, what we have accomplished, what needs to be further accomplished, and contain more specific estimated periods.
